Grateful Pup from Shelter Can’t Stop Showering his New Owner with Love and Hugs

Shelter dogs often don’t receive as much love and attention as they deserve, which can result in heartbreaking situations where they have to be euthanized. Thankfully, there’s a positive shift happening as more people are choosing to adopt stray dogs and cats. This is great news because it means that more animals are finding new homes and loving families. One heartwarming example of this is Russ the Pitbull, who found his forever home with Kayla Filoon – a 20-year-old student who volunteered as a dog walker at an animal shelter in Philadelphia. While volunteering at ACCT Philly one day, Kayla met Russ and it was love at first sight.

As per Filoon’s account, she felt an instant connection with Russ as soon as she saw him. The feeling seemed to be mutual, evident from a picture posted on Facebook by one of Filoon’s friends where Russ can be seen showering affection on her. It’s hard not to get captivated by Russ’s adorable face.

Kayla Filoon fell in love with a stray dog at first sight, even though he was in bad shape when he came to her attention.

Kayla noticed that he was shedding fur and had lost a lot of weight, and she knew that the shelter would eventually have to euthanize him. So, she made the decision to adopt him and bring him home with her! Russ, the dog she adopted, is extremely grateful and shows his affection towards Kayla.

Filoon expressed how much she adored cuddles with her furry friend who she proclaimed to be the ultimate canine companion. She described him as flawless in every way, making him the ideal pooch.

As I was seated, working on my assignments, my partner was attempting to snuggle up to me. It was a typical night when my friend captured a moment between us and shared it on social media. To our surprise, the photo garnered an enormous amount of attention and became viral.

Many individuals who cherish animals are expressing their adoration for Russ from different parts of the globe. They describe him as a loveable creature. Filoon has six other housemates who also love and cherish Russ. Although it took Russ some time to adapt to his new surroundings, with continuous love, attention, and sufficient rest, he was able to recover impressively well.

Presently, Russ is in a good state of health and enjoys being contented with life. Kayla desires that Russ’ experience will motivate others to also consider adoption.
